Playtime
A hazy early morning mist floats across the wildflower meadow
The dawn chorus of blackbirds and robins joyfully banishes all shadows
Fiery bright yellow morning sun casts its golden sparkling light
Upon the thick orange fur of a young fox who has been awake all night
Enjoying the fresh crisp morning air and tall swaying fragrant blooms
He gently walks through the wildflowers happily enjoying their perfume
Sniffing the grasses where tiny spheres of dew sparkle like miniature jewels
All the surrounding beauty of the meadow reflecting in their little pools
With his bedtime drawing near there is just time for a quick jump around
Leaping high in the tall grass Is one of the simplest pleasures he has found
So, if you visit the meadow early one morning you may be lucky enough to find
This charming little fox bouncing up high in the air enjoying his playtime.
