Felicity was an inquisitive and unusual sort of young duck
She was always acting a little differently, always trying her luck
What she liked most in this world was having her picture taken
The other ducks rolled their eyes at how she tried to get attention
One day a van pulled up by the pond, asking for directions
It was packed full of goods from his morning collections
Felicity waddled over and found the back door was slightly ajar
In for a penny she thought, and hopped inside ready to travel afar
The other ducks all stared at her aghast with open beaks
She cheekily waved at them with an excited flush in her cheeks
At last, she was off, even though the road was a bit bumpy
Best to hide, she thought, in case the driver got grumpy
She dived into a large box packed with fresh tulips and daisies
The van came to a stop outside a florist shop “Blooms by Maisy”
As she was carried inside, she popped her head up and met a pair of kind eyes
“Oh, my goodness!” the shop owner almost dropped the box in surprise
Maisy had lots of deliveries but didn’t remember ordering a duck
An idea suddenly popped in her head and she smiled at her good luck
The next day people gathered around the front window jostling to see
For there, swimming around in a bathtub full of flowers was Felicity!
Cameras flashed repeatedly and the crowds of onlookers grew
She posed with the peonies in delight, her dreams had come true.
