Blossom & Honey
Through the eyes of a young kitten the world is full of wonder
Lots of new places to explore and things to hide under
Blossom jumped out of the removal van and excitedly looked around
She stretched and walked around the cottage to explore her new grounds
The air was sweet with flowers and grass glistening with fresh dew
Suddenly something fluffy circled her head buzzing as it flew
She heard a gently humming and curiosity led her to investigate
She followed a gravel path lined with tulips and pushed past a garden gate
The humming grew louder when she arrived at an old apple tree
Nestled underneath it was a beehive full of happy little bees
“Welcome to your new home”! said the nearest bee closer he flew
“My name is Honey”, said the friendly little bee, “we have so much to show you “
The bee took her to the potting shed where he explained the little mice lived
Then they met the hedgehog family who nested in the compost heap
The ducks splashed about in the pond waving with their young
Frogs leapt across lily pads, oh it looked like so much fun!
Everyone was so welcoming and their kindness was true
Blossom was going to love living here with her new friends, she just knew
As the sun began to fade the bees all settled back in their hive for the night
Blossom waved “see you again tomorrow little ones, night night, sleep tight”.
