Magical Cosmos

A fox and a hare sat together on a hill
Where the silver moonlight brightly spilled

The stars hung above like stories spun,
Each one a golden thread, each thread begun.

They pondered time itself, the endless deep,
Where ancient stars still sing them to sleep.
“Do you think,” asked hare, “the stars dream like we do?”
Fox smiled and whispered softly, “Perhaps they do.”

With tails and paws tucked soft and tight,
They watched the dance of an endless night.
No need for introduction or grand displays
The cosmos knew them and connected in quiet ways.

Reach for the Stars

At the forest’s edge where fireflies gleamed,
A kind hearted badger sat and gently dreamed.
A little hedgehog curled up snugly by his side,
Their thoughts adrift with the questions on their minds.

“Why are we here?” the badger wondered aloud,
His voice low amid the night forest sounds.
“To dig and snuffle, sleep and wake…
Or is there more, for wonder’s sake?”

The hedgehog blinked with twilight eyes,
And watched a comet cross the skies.
“I think,” she said, “we’re made of light
Of moss and stars and ancient night.”

They spoke of souls and silver moons,
Of whispered winds and lonesome runes.
And how, perhaps in dreams or song,
They’d grow their wings where they belong.

“Who says,” said badger, “we can’t just try,
To build a magical leaf-ship for the sky?”
At this hedgehog smiled, with her heart open wide,
For truth is found in dreamers and those who’ve tried.

All the stars in my Heart

If I look up at the stars shining down in the night

I can see above all others that one shines most bright

For that is the one from me to you

Full of kindness and warmth it’s light is true

I followed my heart and I found a home in you

Unexpected as it was my soul just knew

You are my compass, my safe haven, known to few

The light in a storm that steers me through

From now until from this beautiful earth I depart

Peaceful Moon

A fox and a hare by the river lay,
Their paws still warm from the golden day.
The grass was damp, the air smelled clean,
Of mint, and moss, and meadow green.

Above them rose the moon so wide,
Like a polished pearl on a velvet tide.
It cast pale beams through whispering trees,
And cooled their fur with a silver breeze.

They spoke of tides and seasons near,
Of shifting moon phases through every year
They wondered aloud, “What does it all mean?
And who placed the moon where it’s always seen?”

The breeze grew calm in the moment deep
Wrapped in hush, the woodland folk fell asleep.
With softened breath and half-closed eyes,
They bathed in peace beneath the cosmic skies.

Wonderful Moon

A hare and a fox in a field of soft dew
Sitting side by side bathed in the midnight hues.
They tilted their heads with a dreamy upward stare,
At the glowing moon hanging mysteriously in the air.

“Who put it there?” asked the brown hare, so small,
“Was it stitched from fine silk or shaped to fall?
Did giants perhaps hang it from a golden thread,
Or is it a billowing lantern for dreams instead?”

The young fox gave a nod, his eyes alight,
“It could be a pearl from the sea of ancient night.
Or perhaps,” he mused, with a thoughtful air,
“It’s a mirror the stars wanted to share.”

The wind blew softly through the whispering wheat,
And rustled the moss gently beneath their feet.
They sat a while in wonder, warm and still,
As moonlight flowed silently across the hill.

They didn’t find answers, not even a clue,
But sometimes wonder itself is truer than true.
And under the hush of that luminous tune,
They simply whispered, “what a wonderful moon.”

Wishes to the Moon

A hare stepped out as twilight fell,
Through fields that breathed a dusky spell.
The air was thick with moss and pine,
And petals closed on columbine.

A robin perched on a lichen-stone,
His feathers kissed by moonlight’s glow
The hare had an idea and said with a smile
“Let’s climb the hill and send love to the skies”

They passed through bramble, sweet with rose,
Where wild mint curled around their toes.
The air was cool, the silence and energy deep,
The earth sweetly exhaled a breath of sleep.

Atop the hill, with ancient stars aglow,
The world grew still, and time moved so slow.
They whispered dreams to the giant moon above
Of softened hearts and unrequited love

So paw and wing beneath the skies,
They sent their love where stardust flies.
The cosmos stirred, the wishes were flown
Across the beyond and into the starry unknown.

To the Moon We Go

In a hammock strung ‘tween elm and oak,
Six creatures swayed as the branches creaked.
A fox, a badger, a hare mid-yawn,
A mouse and a little hedgehog snuggled up warm
And one gentle bear with a thoughtful stare,
Tucked on the end with leaves in his hair.

They gazed at the moon, so round and high,
Like a lantern hung in a blackberry sky.
“We could fly there,” said Fox, “with a kite or a crow.”
“Or bounce,” yawned sleepy Hare, “if we all push just so.”

“I’ve got string,” squeeked Mouse, “and a walnut shell
We could sail by night on a starlit swell!”
“I’ll knit us some wings,” offered Hedgehog sweetly
While Badger just snored, he had nodded off discreetly

Bear rumbled low in a voice like summer rain,
“What if we get there by dreaming again?”
They all settled in quiet, paws and whiskers fell still,
While moonlight danced upon their sleeping woodland hill.

They whispered their plans till the stars all blinked,
Of ladders and feathers and pinecones inked.
And though they remained in a cosy tangle of paws,
The moon felt a little bit nearer… just because.
